Featured Testimonial: Zoe!

I first designed the "Event to Remember" posters for my friend Jennie. She and Chad got married on a Friday night. Because most weddings are on Saturdays, she really wanted her wedding to feel like a big event that her friends and family would not want to miss out on. I love these posters, they are bold and fun--and truly look like art. They look great framed as well, I had one done for Jennie as a shower gift.

Zoe contacted me after seeing the poster I did for Jennie's save the date and wanted it to be her invitation. It was PERFECT for her wedding, which was a weekend of live music and friends. I was really excited to do them for her, and she was really great to work with.

Featured Testimonial: Lauren!

I used to work with Lauren, so I had a good grasp on her style. She is getting married at a rose garden and has a Tiffany theme to her wedding. She is a big fan of Audrey Hepburn, and of course...the "little blue box" too. These invites are unlike the others I have done in that they aren't colorful or graphic. However, I am beyond pleased with how they came out. We had them printed on linen paper and I couldn't be happier with how the ink set into the paper. The invite is contained in a bronze metallic pocket folder and sealed shut with their monogram, then housed in a tiffany blue envelope. These invitations are simply elegant.

I don't have these invites up on etsy for sale yet--but if you are interested feel free to email me with your quantities. The colors can be changed and/or roses can be switched out to another flower to accommodate your wedding.

I need to get these invitations shot, but here is the comp of it all put together (the bottom card that is peeking out is the RSVP postcard):

Here's what Lauren had to say:
"I am so pleased with the way my invitations turned out. The quality and design far exceeded my expectations, and I love that they're unique. Marit did and amazing job and helped me to set a tone of class and elegance for my wedding."

Featured Testimonial: Maggie!

Maggie was a ton of fun to work with. She and Matthew had their wedding in her parent's yard in Tennessee. They are both lovers of the outdoors--and of music. They had bands playing all weekend long and enjoyed the outdoors amongst friends and family. The bridesmaids wore simple green dresses paired up with Chaco sandles. I can't wait to see the pictures!

Here is what Maggie had to say:
"Marit designed and coordinated the invitations, envelopes, and rehearsal dinner invitations for my upcoming wedding. I was looking for something a little unique that incorporated the colors and spring theme of my wedding. Marit did a wonderful job of developing and providing several ideas and creating them in such a way that I could view all options and pick and chose what suited our needs. If there was any question she had about color, cost, size, etc., then she contacted me right away so we could get the job completed as quickly as possible. It was never hard to contact her, (we used Internet and phone due to the distance) to make changes. She worked hard to provide the most cost efficient materials possible and was always honest about her opinion on things such as color, cost, materials options, and any little detail that might affect the design or price. It was a painless pleasure, and I would recommend her to others and use her myself again in the future (of course for other things, not another wedding!).

Everyone loved our "green" theme. I've given out your cards and will continue to do so as occasions arise. Thanks again for the great work!"

These invitations are called "Go Green!" They are printed on recycled paper. Maggie chose white envelopes, but they can also be paired up with a kraft paper envelope to really flaunt being environmentally friendly.

Featured Testimonial: Elisa!

I have been posting a "featured testimonial" in the sidebar to your right. I try to switch them out every week as I get new feedback. I have decided to feature them as a blog post instead, so that I can also show the invitations.

So, this week's feature is Elisa. She chose my boarding pass save the dates and custom Zazzle stamps for her destination wedding in Jamaica.

Here's what Elisa had to say:
I highly recommend Marit to create your perfect invitation. We love our "save-the-date boarding pass" with custom stamp design. Marit is extremely efficient, prompt, friendly and reliable. She listens to her clients, creates a personalized experience and delivers an excellent final product! Marit went above and beyond with suggesting a coordinated custom stamp & even created the design for me. This was an absolutely stress-free process for me (and therefore my fiance thinks Marit is the best because I am a perfectionist!). I look forward to working with Marit on our wedding invitations and am very grateful for finding her services!
