Every girl could use a new bag!

I bought a wristlet from San Francisco based artist, Drikab, a few years ago and I have lost count of the compliments I have received on it. It's by far my favorite bag when I need to carry a few things around. Her selection is always changing, but the fabrics are all so beautiful. I love the detail of the jute handle and the other felt accents. Check back to her shop, because she is currently sold out of her wristlets. I JUST bought one for a friend's birthday, so perhaps she is busy sewing away to build up her inventory.

I've been eye-balling this style for a long time, and I might just have to buckle down and buy myself a late birthday present. It'd make such a great carry-on bag for my upcoming vacation. Brides--this would be a great honeymoon bag!

Secret Proposal

Okay, this is way to touching not to post. I know I JUST shared an engagement video in my last post, but when I saw this one--I couldn't NOT show it to you. Perhaps I am just a little on the emotional side today, but this engagement at what looks like a Caribou Coffee totally choked me up. This is one of the sweetest things--so simple, yet so personal and unique. Way to go groom!

Flash Mob Proposal

Okay, this guy wins! I've seen my share of flash mob videos, but this one is pretty awesome. I am sure it has something to do with the end result, but regardless--it's awesome. This is the first proposal I've seen done this way. How on earth he got this organized is beyond me...but KUDOS to him. And sorry for all the men who now have to top it!

Click on the video
to go to YouTube. My blog is not designed wide enough to embed YouTube. I'll add that to my list of things to do!

Watch the whole thing, but the real action starts at about 2:40 into the video.

Everything's better with your name on it!

I was flipping through my latest issue of House Beautiful when I came across these great plates. That sentence alone is proof that I celebrated a thirty-something birthday this past weekend, because really--how many 19 year olds do you know who get this excited about dinnerware? Exactly.

Look at how cute these designs are. And, unlike your china that you may have registered for, these babies are safe from breaking. Any of these bold patterns would be lovely on a wall in your kitchen (or mine!)

Featured Testimonial: Amy!

I just finished up working with Amy and Jack this May. The couple chose my event series "poster" to send their guests as a reminder to save the date. Here's what she had to say:

I just wanted to let you know that we have gotten such good feedback on the save-the-dates. Everyone has been writing to us saying how fun and different they are-- even work colleagues, who I wouldn't expect to go out of their way to say nice things about the mailing. So thank you for a fantastic job! Perhaps we can also use you for either rehearsal dinner invitations or programs.

Featured Testimonial: Bree

Bree and Clint selected my "Monogrammed Damask" invitations for their stationery. Bree was great to work with. Here's what she had to say about working with me.

I just received my invitations this evening. They are absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait to send them out. You have been so wonderful during this entire process. From the color choices, to the quick shipping and the help with the wording. I am so glad I found your website and cannot wait to give your business cards to my friends! Thank you so much!

If you have worked with me already, and have not seen your feedback posted--feel free to email me and I'll post it on my blog. Thank you in advance. :)

Featured Testimonial: Timberlee!

I used to make it a point to post all my feedback on my blog on Mondays. I have quite a few emails/cards that I have yet to post, so I will do my best to get them up on Mondays. If you have worked with me already, and have not seen your feedback posted--feel free to email me and I'll post it on my blog. In return, I might even send you something (include your address)!

My good friend and very talented photographer, Sherri Jackson, referred her sister, Timberlee to me. Timberlee chose my Black Tie Pocketfold invite to announce her big day.

Here's what Timberlee had to say:
I just wanted to thank you again for doing our wedding invitations. They turned out great and we received so many compliments on them. You are very talented and your invitations are beautiful! :)

If you live in the Brooklyn/NYC area, take a look at Sherri's work. She also offers Boudoir sessions. Sherri is fun to be around and spews talent. Check her out!

Make your own wedding bands!

I am always on the lookout for unique things. A while back, I found these rings on etsy, which I still love.

Today I stumbled upon something even more unique for those of you who are true DIYers. With locations all over the United States (and England!), A Wedding Ring Experience allows you and your significant other design, melt, create and polish each other's rings. How cool is that?

Here are some photos, but you can view a complete flickr set here showing couples creating their own rings.

Wedding Wednesday

I was doing some reading on one of my favorite wedding blogs, Green Wedding Shoes, when I stumbled upon this oh-so-perfect wedding.

The couple got engaged in an antique store and ran with that theme throughout their wedding. Birds, lemons and colorful eclectic things decorated their day. The photographs are beautiful and capture the essence of everything the couple worked so hard to create. What a truly lovely wedding...take notes!

Now that I've teased you enough, go check it out!

Kimberly Potterf Photography

My dear friend Kim is a Wedding Photographer in Columbus (but, she'll travel!). She just shot a wedding that I am totally in love with. All the little details are so intimate and beautiful. Here are a few of my favorites, but please go to her blog and see more from this awesome down-home wedding. While you're at a blog, check out some of her other work as well. Kim is so talented and I'm sure all her brides would agree that she is a complete joy to be with. :)

I love the grey and purple combo, and how cute are they?

The old car, paired with these adorably crafted wood signs is what really won me over. The groom made them himself!:
